Hong Kong: Chambray and Stripes

Hi! It’s yet another mobile post; go easy on me! Honestly, I need to get a better grip on mobile technology…
Fashion Illustration - What I Wore in HK

I loved visiting Hong Kong! It is a place where food and fashion are everywhere you look; what’s not to like? It’s busy, so dressing comfortably is key!

First, one of the great things about visiting HK around now is Chinese New Year – everything is so festive (not to mention I got a few red envelopes bearing lucky money!)

Next, it is a Fashionista’s paradise. My local friends didn’t have much to say for low-price shopping; but, if you want high fashion – there are endless malls and luxury stores! I loved seeing all the fabulous window displays and mannequins.

Of course another great thing is food. I hard awesome Chinese (especially dim sum), French, and Italian. I also got to try high tea at the Peninsula Hotel – which was amazing!

But, my favorite thing was how easy it is to get around and meet with friends. It really seems like a place that encourages socializing and enjoying others’ company.

If you get the chance – I hope you can visit Hong Kong too!

Well I don’t know if you went, but definitely The Peak for the view! My family and I take the dog hiking on the trail on the peak every once in a while. It’s a great view! As far as shopping, for non-luxury I would recommend Island Beverly or Causeway Place in Causeway Bay – they’re both crammed with tiny local boutiques, all selling pretty unique things. I don’t always buy stuff when I go, but I just like to check it out!
