Hello! I hope you safely survived the impact and aftermath of Sandy. My thoughts are with those who were hit hard. (I’m taking refuge at a good friend’s who luckily avoided power loss.)
Returning to our apartment and packing an overnight bag made it obvious that I have certain seasonal wardrobe staples. These are my top ten picks that I can’t live without.
My classic trench (also here) has a great fit and luxurious texture. It’s the perfect weight to guard against wind and rain without being too bulky.
I value lightweight tops that layer. My Autumn must-haves: an easy tee, a long sleeve silk blouse, a light weight sweater or a chambray shirt. I love thin sweaters (especially ones with fun graphics and patterns, but black can do no wrong.)
I’ve featured these leggings before because I am obsessed with them. I usually don’t like leggings because they are very revealing (if you know what I mean.) These ones offer the structure of dress trousers and flatter you (like Spanx!)
I accessorize with rich Autumn hues: browns, raspberry, and deep navy. My boy beanie and cute pocket scarf add warmth and cozy-ness. My outfits are complete with suede booties and a structured bag.
