Hello!  I hope you safely survived the impact and aftermath of Sandy.  My thoughts are with those who were hit hard.  (I’m taking refuge at a good friend’s who luckily avoided power loss.)

Returning to our apartment and packing an overnight bag made it obvious that I have certain seasonal wardrobe staples.  These are my top ten picks that I can’t live without.

To all my NY/NJ viewers: I hope you stay safe and taking precautions during Sandy!  Since everything from the MTA to the NYSE are closed, V.Ng and I are spending the day at home.  We’re making the best of the “hurrication” with lots of Halloween candy and TV (while we still have power.)

I love hanging out in pj’s but I wanted to be productive and getting dressed helps a lot!  Plus, I’m prepared in case we have to make quick getaway!

I love waking up and seeing the sunrise over the city.  Vibrant reds and oranges peek around the buildings and reflect on the Hudson.  But lately, I get treated to a double color show.  Right outside my window I see the leaves changing colors; fall is in full effect! That means buildings everywhere are cranking up the heat.  I like to remedy this with layers.
